SCSMail
Hello
I'm new to this forum and to SCSMail. I currently run an RMS HF station (WL2K PMBO) - VA3LKI on 4 HF bands.
Looking for folks that are (or may be interested in) setting up client and server stations with SCSMail, for testing purposes.
SCSMail is operational here for testing - but no times or frequencies determined due to band conditions and current WL2K commitments.
If interested, send a reply. Thanks.
Michael

Sorry OM, been away and very busy last month or so.
Do you have SCS Mail setup? I assume you have a PTC modem?
There appears to be some interest in USA, but nothing firm anywhere other than your message.
It will take a few stations to make contacts for testing.

Hallo Michael,
sorry, was also very busy here. Yes I have a PTC2ex here.
Was testing with SCS Mail and think its working ok. But I think until
there is no working Freq. there will be no traffic. Lets see, what future will
bring us.

I was interested in trying SCSMAIL, but I have a small problem with my internet provider - COMCAST. Comcast only allows my computers to send mail using COMCAST's SMTP server.
If I try to be a SCSMAIL server, I will not be able to send emails for others because I will not be able to connect to their SMTP servers.

that's unbelievable. Internet is a free medium and I have never heard of a provider blocking SMTP ports.
I my provider would try this he would have one customer less.
