Hello everyone,

     I have an IC 718 and a PTCIIex with III upgade.  I have it tooked together with the supplied DB9 to computer and a Farallon cable from radio to PTCIIex.  I am running Airmail.  Everything seems to work but I cannot connect to Winlink 2000 frequencys designated for HF email.  I have a second radio on dummy load that allows me to hear that I'm putting out.  I think I have airmail set up correctly but cannot find anything that tells you how.  Any ideas out there?  I could sure use some help since I'm about to take a sailing trip and would like to get my system installed on my boat.

Dear Kurt,

Did you configure the CI-V hex-address right? Choose "00" if in doubt, this works for all Icom equipment as a backdoor entrance.

Did yoy connect the 13 pole connector in tghe right position:

The marker notch is at the downside at the Icom, not at the upperside as standard.

Do you have switched off the freq.correction?

Output volume o.k.?

Does the Baudrate match between PC and modem and Baudrate match between PTC and TRX?
